What are Fuel Farms?

 A fuel farm (also known as an oil depot) is an industrial facility or holding tank for the storage of oil and/or petrochemical products. Most air bases and airports have their own dedicated fuel farms with road tankers and other vehicles that transport the fuel from the fuel farm to the aircrafts. With millions invested in these aircrafts, the quality and cleanliness of the fuel is vital to maintaining the operational standards of an airbase or airport.

Filter Pure has multiple industrial filtration systems that enhance and clean the fuel. These systems would be installed at the point of entry of the fuel farms. A couple of different kinds of systems are the H88 or the M88. These systems are designed for the removal of particulates from oils, fuels and other industrial process fluids. The M88 is a liquid bag housing for lower pressure applications. It removes dirt, pipe scale, and other substances from the processed liquids. You can use either a liquid bag filter or a strainer basket. The H88 is a hydraulic cartridge housing and designed for the removal of particulates and water from oils and industrial fluids. Both of these systems are constructed to protect all downstream equipment. Another positive attribute of these systems  is the ability to be customized based on the specification/or requirements needed.  Some of the specifications are as follows and can be customized for your use:

  •  Flow rates that range from 120 to 4,600 gpm
  • Multi-round flow rates from 360 to 4,500 gpm
  • The pressure ratings 150 psi
  • Carbon steel, 304 and 316 stainless steel construction
  • Multi-round housings feature bearing assisted davit assembly
  • ASME code U or UM, depending upon model

University Upgrades

Universities around the nation are upgrading or remodeling their cafeterias and concession stands. Whether they are getting ready for the new school year or football season, they are preparing for the multiple number of students and fans that will be joining them for the start of the new fall season. Filter Pure helps with this preparation by assisting them with all their water filtration needs. The most common filtration need with cafeterias and concession stands is their combination units, serving soda and ice. To make sure these units are serving delicious ice cold beverages, Filter Pure recommends the High Flow CSR Quad 4FC (EV9329-44). This provides you with a pre-filter, 4 filtering cartridges and a scale inhibitor. This system is rated for 60,000 gallon capacity, 3 carbonators, 1,500 lbs. of ice production and up to 4 brewing pots of coffee. The filter on this system, the 4FC cartridge (EV9692-21), is rated for 15,000 gallon capacity at a .5 micron rating. They are NSF 42 and 53 standard, with chlorine, taste and odor, particulate, bacteriostatic and cyst reduction.  These can be sized according to your needs. For example, if you needed more gallons capacity, like 100,000 gallons, you would use the 7FC cartridge.

How To Stop Slime!

Is slime taking over your ice machines? Don’t worry, slime contamination can be solved with the correct water filtration system. In a hospital, various environmental factors affect the ice. The problem with slime originates from filtration removing the disinfectant from the supply water to the ice machine.  By removing chlorine and chloramines, contamination can occur in the ice bins and nasty bacteria can multiply, leaving you with SLIME! Claris: The Solution to your Steamer Problems

Protecting a commercial steamer from limescale and other damaging entities caused by the water has become easier with the introduction of the Claris system.  The Claris system utilizes five stage softening and filtering to allow the user to dial in the perfect amount of mineral for their steamer.  Boilerless and combi steamer ovens have to retain enough mineral content for probes to accurately detect the water levels.  While necessary to keep minerals, too much content will cause scaling on heating rods and the hot plates.  So having the ability to choose the amount of wanted mineral in your water is a great feature. Making Better Water For Your Hotel Guest
